What is the National Registry ?
The National Registry is a database of Fugitive Recovery Agents that are Registered Members of the National Association (NAFRA).
Registered Fugitive Recovery Agents can be verified by law enforcement and those in the bail industry, and they are subject to certain professional standards as outlined in the NAFRA Code of Ethics. Any complaints against Registered Fugitive Recovery Agents are kept on file by the National Association, and sanctions such as a formal warning or revocation and de-registration can occur if a serious breach of the code of ethics is investigated and substantiated by NAFRA.
Being a Registered Fugitive Recovery Agent demonstrates to Law Enforcement that you are accountable to the National Association, and any concerns they may have can be addressed through a formal process.
Being a Registered Fugitive Recovery Agent also gives potential employers i.e. Bondsman some assurances that there is a documented professional history for the Registered Fugitive Recovery Agent, and that any concerns they may have can be addressed through a formal process.
